Did I happen to mention that I was a presenter at Beat Me in St Louis in March? The class was “Phone Sex and Distance BDSM”. The way I got the gig was to write the organizers and say approximately “I’m willing to present free if you need an awkward slot filled.” Saturday morning 9 am after a late dungeon party? You betcha! So I put together a list of classes I’m willing to teach. I’m sure I’ll be updating it, but I wanted to remember how it started. * Distance BDSM and Phone Sex * Kinky Ice Breaker Game: “Choose An Offer” * Hosting Play Parties * Basic BDSM Safety & Negotiations 1. Distance BDSM and Phone Sex – sharing my experiences, ideas, mistakes, [read more...]
I happened to be at an open mic for stand-up, so I decided to try my hand. I’ve suspected I wouldn’t be horrible at it, and sure enough, it wasn’t horrible (except for about 45 seconds near the beginning, which I edited out). Enjoy And if anybody feels like transcribing it so I can have the whole text of it at the end of this blog post, please feel free to do so and send it to me.

I love kissing. I love it a lot. It’s so intimate, so easy to slide into a place of wanting this moment to last forever. The taste, the scents, the touch. Feeling someone respond to the slightest of movements, matching pressure, exploring. And when it’s someone new, it’s a huge rush to initiate sexual contact for the first time. I’m pretty sure I can tell whether or not I’d enjoy having sex with someone based on three minutes or less of kissing. And I’m irrationally happy for a couple of days after I kiss someone new. I’m a bit of a smooch slut. The day I left for college, I’d kissed 36 people (and by kissing I mean making out long enough to have a [read more...]

January 23 kicked off the Chinese New Year of the Dragon. I ran across this handy explanation: “Exciting, unpredictable, exhilarating and intense, according to the Chinese tradition, these are the characteristics of the Year of the Dragon. Be warned, following the Rabbit’s year of cautious optimism, the Dragon is renowned for its unbridled enthusiasm and has been known to throw caution to the wind! Now’s the time to make this your Year of Adventure!” Well, thank you – I think I will! Warning: the next picture is even more Not-Safe-For-Work (NSFW) than the first picture. I’m giving you space to look away, although I sincerely hope you don’t, because it’s good for me when you have sexy images of me stuck in your head. I [read more...]

I was so happy yesterday I was making high-pitched squeaky noises between words as I read the review from Jane’s Guide about my blog. I’m thrilled! Here it is, even with my own custom awesome subdomain URL: http://galiana.janesguide.com How did it happen? I saw that Kitty Stryker’s fantastic blog Purrversatility got reviewed by Jane’s Guide (Vamp loves her blog too, of course… duh), and I started poking around Jane’s Guide, wondering how to get my site reviewed. Turns out, you just submit your site, easy as pie. The downside of doing so, however, is that from the moment you hit “submit” until the moment you get the email from Jane’s Guide saying you’ve been reviewed, you are intermittently struck with mini-panic-attacks wondering if the reviewer [read more...]

This weekend is my 41st birthday (Sunday, the 18th). Last year, for my 40th birthday, I made a ruckus on my blog, my name was in lights (literally) at the Northwestern-Rice football game, I had a professional photo shoot, and I spoiled and pampered myself all month celebrating. This year, on the day before I turn 41, my hubby and I are joining my mom in her cozy little living room, where she is renting The Big Chill and buying us pizza. A bit different. Apparently, my thoughts about turning 41 are, “I don’t care about turning 41, but did I do everything I wanted to do while I was 40? You know, I kind of wanted to watch The Big Chill again – it’s [read more...]
“It’s a special thing to be able to tap into someone else’s fantasies like you just did. Thank you. God, seriously, thank you.” ~ a new caller, apparently satisfied, almost moving me to tears with his sincerity and gratitude edit / update: he followed up with this in writing, “Tapping into someones fantasy is a powerful gift. Thank you for sharing it with me.” Wow.
If you’re here from Reddit, hi! Glad you found me! The best place to start is the cleverly named “Where to Start” page, kind of like a Guided Tour of Galiana: http://galianachance.net/blog/about/ For the rest of you… I’m doing a Reddit IAmA … AMA today. Reddit is… ummm… gosh, how to describe Reddit. If I just send you to reddit.com, it’ll be overwhelming, unless you’re already addicted to it, in which case you will mock others for feeling overwhelmed. It’s like a series of community discussion boards strung together by caffeine, awesomeness, geekery, red and grey robots, and sometimes narwhals and rainbows, but usually less brutal than 4chan. That didn’t really help did it? Well, for example, there’s a section called IAmA, where eople post [read more...]
