Listings Rework

In my first year as a phone sex operator, I re-did my listings 18 times. Oh, sure, about half those versions were minor changes, but still, that’s an awful lot of tweaking. In months 12-18 (I totally missed my year-and-a-half-iversary), I’ve only redone my listings once so far, so it was time for me to muck around on them. The simplest change is that I added my new “Galiana Chance: heart of a girlfriend, imagination of a whore” banner to all my listings. The more complex change is that I have reversed my experiment with having multiple “characters” (Smart Fun Galiana, Hypno Galiana, and Ms Galiana – three separate NiteFlirt logins). I have a listing in the “Role Play” category that I started specifically to market to the ASFR / android / robot girl / technosexual / fembot / gynoid crowd. (Dear That Crowd: please settle on a name for yourselves… /grin ) And today, that listing is ranked higher as a Top Pick than my listing in the “Sex” category when you look in “Find Women“, which is the approximate equivalent of searching for “All Women”. Or, if you’re a geek, it’s a ‘find . -print’ from the root. Top Picks is the default search order, and it is heavily weighted by activity in the past two weeks: calls, repeat calls, new callers, pay-to-views, click-through rate, and feedback. Go, go Galiana! My “Sex” listing just hit a rating of 2,000 points! Yay! And for those of you keeping track, yesterday was exactly 8 months since I took my first call. I have a new voice sample, and a new listing, both springing from my recent interactions with the ASFR (alt.sex.fetish.robot) community, which, after I write this post, I will try to stop writing about for a while in case people get the wrong idea and think it’s all I do anymore… First, the voice sample. I love it. A lot. The systems of ratings and points on phone sex services can be confusing. I have a listing rating, a star-rating, and a super-secret ranking rating. The super-secret ranking rating is an unpublished formula which heavily weights towards activity in the past two weeks. That rating determines where you show up if someone browses by category. So if someone hits the home page (there are 6 randomly determined listings on the home pate), then chooses “Find Women” or a subcategory underneath that like “Women Home Alone” or a sub-subcategory under that like “Sex”, the super-secret ranking determines the order.
